Gearing up for General Conference....

It is always a great time as we prepare to greet the many visitors who are coming for general conference.   The cherry blossoms are in bloom and well as the thousands of daffodils and hyacinths, crocuses, pansies and tulips, and don't forget the "Forget-me-nots".  But the real flowers of Temple Square are our beautiful sisters who are ready to greet, uplift and teach those who are ready to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and His plan for happiness for us and our families.

Spring is coming to Temple Square...........

We have a wonderful class of new sisters who came February 19th.   They are doing a great job on Temple Square. You can tell what great attitudes they all have just by their smiles,

It won't be long before Temple Square is brilliant with the colors of Spring flowers.  It is fun each day to come to Temple Square and see what flowers are in bloom.

The pansies are so hearty...they survived under blankets of winter snow.

Sister Rodrigues finally gets her turn to play the Tabernacle organ.   She played so well...the visiting organist asked her to come study with him in Idaho.

Our first large group tour of the season.   150 visitors came from a company based in Israel.  Our  guests were from many countries and our sisters did a wonderful job sharing the spirit of Temple Square.

This week was Zone Conference. From President and Sister Poulsen,   we learned lots about developing  good  character traits and being  trustworthy and from Sister Poulsen, we learned the gifts we need to be able to take home with us from our missions , including knowledge of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, knowledge of the scriptures and the word of the Lord, increased love for our parents, love for people wherever you serve, appreciation for hard work to name a few.   How grateful we are for wonderful leaders!************************
Our zone leaders taught us well.....some, even providing "spiritual brownies" (Thanks to Sister Pipe
 and Sister Doraiswamy)

More pictures from Zone Conference....great times, great fun and great learning focusing on our purpose, which is to:

INVITE OTHERS TO COME UNTO CHRIST BY HELPING THEM RECEIVE THE RESTORED GOSPEL THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS ATONEMENT, REPENTANCE, BAPTISM, RECEIVING THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST, AND ENDURING TO THE END.
